Our Guiding Principles:
- Our highest priority is to satisfy the needs of students and their families through early and continuous delivery of meaningful learning.
- We welcome changing requirements, even late in a learning cycle, and we harness change for the benefit of students and our families.
- We deliver meaningful learning frequently with measurable performance indicators with a preference to the shorter timeframes in measurement.
- Spark and family members work together daily/weekly to create learning opportunities for students.
- We build projects around motivated individuals, give them the environment and support they need, and we trust our students to get their jobs done.
- We recognize that the most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a team is face-to-face conversation.
- Meaningful learning is our primary measure of progress.
- Our processes promote sustainability. Educators, students, and families should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.
- We believe that continuous attention to technical excellence and good design enhances adaptability.
- We believe in simplicity–the art of maximizing the amount of work done–is essential.
- We believe the best ideas and initiatives emerge from self-organizing, self-directed teams.
- We review our students progress at regular intervals and help them to reflect on how to become more effective, then tune and adjust behaviors accordingly.
